Mission

Founded in 1914, The Midnight Mission offers paths to self-sufficiency to men, women and children who have lost direction. Our emergency services and 12-step recovery, family living, job training, education and workforce development programs offer a compassionate bridge to achieve and maintain healthy, productive lives. We remove obstacles and provide the accountability and structure that people who are experiencing homelessness need to be productive in their communities. Our conviction and commitment to their success define us.

Programs

The Twelve Steps program of Alcohol Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous; Individual counceling; medical assistance; education; life skills;

Emergency Services which include three meals a day, seven days a week. Safe sleeping quarters for up to 400 individuals on any given night. We also offer hygiene kits, emergency clothes and shoes, food bags, and diapers and wipes for mothers with young children.

HomeLight Family Living is a facility away from Skid Row in a residential area where familes in crisis stay for up to a year, rent free. They are provided with mental health counseling, life skills classes, financial literacy classes, after school tutoring for the children and many more services that address the issues of why they became homeless.
