Great futures start at Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club (Mid-Pen BGC). Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as caring, responsible and productive citizens.  

Since 1953, we have been at the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social and family circumstances; providing young people, ages 6-18, with fun high-yield learning activities within a safe and structured environment during those critical after-school hours and summer months. We continue to provide this unique environment for our youth, with even more opportunities to challenge and build life-enhancing skills, and focus on facilitating the development of transformative relationships between staff and youth, so that the children who pass through our doors leave prepared for a happy and productive life. 

Our vision is to provide a strong Club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors within three core pillars:

ACADEMIC SUCCESS: Develop our members’ academic proficiency, ensuring that our members are on track to graduate, ready to embark on to their next journey of attending college, trade school, military or finding success in the working world. 

GOOD CHARACTER & LEADERSHIP: Hold our youth to high behavior and character expectations, while reinforcing the traits we know will create caring, responsible and productive citizens. 

HEALTHY LIFESTYLES: Nurture healthy lifestyle choices among our youth, so that they are equipped to take steps toward positive behavior changes.
