About the AMS

The Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS) was created by Pope St. John Paul II to provide the Catholic Church’s full range of pastoral ministries to those in the United States Armed Forces. This includes more than 220 installations in 29 countries, patients in 153 V.A. Medical Centers, and federal employees serving outside the boundaries of the USA in 134 countries. Numerically, the AMS is responsible for more than 1.8 million men, women, and children.

The Archdiocese receives no funding from the United States government. Rather, the Archdiocese is solely funded by the generosity of its chaplains, those in uniform, and private benefactors.

Fundraise Your Way

Our online fundraising platform is a community where you can rally your family and friends to join you in your goal to ensure that of all the sacrifices our Catholic service members and their families make, their faith won't be one of them.

Here are a few common themes to build a campaign around:

  • Special Occasions - Ask wedding guests to donate to your campaign in lieu of gifts.
  • Endurance - Race or bike to support the AMS.
  • Birthday - Ask family and friends to give to your campaign in lieu of gifts.
  • School - Start a campaign at your school with students and teachers.
  • Be creative - Choose your own activity or create your own event.

Whatever you do, have fun knowing that you will be making a difference in the lives of Catholic services members and their families
