Mildred Thimes Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer

Who Are We?

Renowned St. Louis Jazz Vocalist Denise Thimes and Mr. Johnny Furr Jr. , then Vice President of Community Affairs at the Anheuser-Busch Companies, initially started the Mildred Thimes Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer
("The Foundation") in 2012.

The Foundation was named for Denise's mother, Mrs. Mildred Thimes, who lost her battle to pancreatic cancer in 1997, a time when doctors knew little about this specific kind of cancer. Denise serves as the Foundation's Executive Director with a 17 member board of directors.

What We Do?

The Mildred Thimes Foundation prides itself in being that "Tangible Foundation". We support patients and their families by providing direct financial assistance for immediate necessities such as:
Assisting with Hospital Care
Pharmaceuticals
Medical Bills
Child Care
Food
Toiletries

We aim to support and assist our clients with their most urgent needs that have to be met, that sometimes larger institutions can not provide.

The Men's Event

The Foundation Hosts an Annual Women's Luncheon that honors women Drs./Nurses and (Care Takers) in the field of Oncology.

The Foundation's two annual Concert events increase awareness and educate the audience about the disease of pancreatic cancer through Specialists like Dr Lannis Hall/Radiation Oncologist/Siteman Cancer Center.

Today, your gift will support the Patient Charitable Fund which will allow us to continue such direct life ongoing support to hundreds of those who continue to be diagnosed and to those who are living with this disease.
