MPS’s Youth & Art Development Program promotes healthy art expression in effort to decrease the rate of substance and alcohol abuse, delinquent behavior, violence, homelessness, imprisonment and or attempted suicide. The ultimate outcome is to provide an arts-based multiservice to reverse the effects of damaging stereotypes, alarming statistic, and the feeling of hopelessness that is poisoning inner-city communities and the bright stars that dwell within them.

 Our goal at MPS is to establish participant’s academic needs to help them graduate from high school, plan and enroll in post-secondary education. Each participant works with anYouth & Art Development Mentor to develop an achievable academic, individual and career goals plan. The programs supports participants’ ability to achieve these goals by providing training tutorial services, career and college exploration, creative and preforming arts, financial literacy, workshops, field trips, internships and case management. The program is open year around to at-risk youth and their families within poverty stricken communities.

Since its inception in July 2014, MPS has served over 2,203 at-risk youth, adults and their families. In 2015, we plan to expand in the growth of participants throughout Maricopa County, establish a Youth Development Center catered to case management services and art production.
