Ministry Center at Green Springs

The two focus areas of The Ministry Center at Green Springs are serving the poor and assisting the international community.

Serving the poor: 

• The Ministry Center served an average of 665 people per month in the past year with food and emergency services including food pantry (Wednesdays), referrals for clothing/furniture, and case management.  
• 225 families received groceries for holiday meals.
• 150 children being raised by their grandparents received Christmas gifts through The Center.

 

Assisting the international community:

• The English as Second Language program serves more than 100 adult students and their children from birth through grade 6 in two 13-week sessions. 
• 50 children attend a week-long camp from 8:30-12 during the 3rd week of July.  In this camp, children K5-G6 from families where English is not spoken at home have fun reviewing reading, writing and math to prepare them for the upcoming school year. They also do crafts and have recreation and music activities.
