Over the last few decades, we have been bombarded by the notion that this is indeed the "Information Age" - from the pervasive presence of mass media, the 24 hour news cycle, the advances in technology that allow for instant data and information aggregation and communication regardless of distance across continents, the profound effects of social media on international events, and even the notion of "fact" when it comes to important issues.

The MIPJ (http://www.mipj.org), since its inception in 2010 and via its print/digital journal and additional print, digital, and multimedia publishing, was created to examine and ask essential questions and examine critical issues in international relations and humanitarian affairs, particularly during heightened needs in crisis, conflict and disaster.
