Miracle League Northshore

The vision of our program is to provide any disabled child, regardless of his or her level of disability, the opportunity to play league sports and enjoy the emotional and physical benefits of being part of a team.

We provide these children with the chance to play organized sports through our Miracle Field, a specially constructed sports field that uses a cushioned, synthetic turf to accommodate wheelchairs and other walking-assistance devices that, along with appropriate support facilities, is designed specifically for use by individuals with disabilities. Miracle League Northshore was founded in 2014 in an effort to bring the Miracle League to serve St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington Parishes. A parent at Coquille Parks and Recreation with a special needs child approached the Recreation District 14 Board of Directors to begin the conversation and the campaign to make this dream a reality on the Northshore.

Today, high school students form bonds with special needs peers to come out and play soccer, baseball, and basketball.

Between gina and noble-bates they make sure that our children have absolutely everything they need.
