Mizell Senior Center of Palm Springs

For over 40 years, Mizell Senior Center has been serving seniors and active adults in the Coachella Valley.  We are best known through our Coachella Valley-wide Meals on Wheels Progarm.  Each year, we serve over 120,000 meals to frail, homebound seniors from Palm Springs to the Salton Sea.  That's nearly 450 meals each day along 7 delivery routes.  Our nutrition program also helps provide meals in Valley senior centers including Thermal, Mecca, Coachella, Indio, Cathedral City and Palm Springs.  These meals, served in a social setting will number nearly 40,000 this year alone!

Mizell does not have a waiting list for our Meals on Wheels Program. We can't continue to do this without your generous support.  Please help us keep our commitment that no frail, homebound senior should go without food. 

Mizell serves active adults from 18 to 100 and beyond.  We provide the only Senior Fall Prevention Program in the Coachella Valley, provide over 20 exercise classes each week, and a variety of social services and programs which support individuals in all phases of the aging process.

We are a place where Active Seniors come together for service and activity which enhances dignity, supports independence, and encourages involvement in and with the community.  Mizell Senior Center serves more people in one day than many other organizations serve in an entire year.  At Mizell, we believe that:  Aging is natural.  Growing old is optional.  With your generous support we can continue providing these vital services to our growing senior population.
