Enchanted & Endangered is an original contemporary dance and aerial performance with voice over dialogue that focuses on the environment, preservation of our forests and respect for nature.

Premiering in honor of Earth Month 2014 with the support of funding from the Horton Plaza Theatres Foundation, an organization funded by the City of San Diego Special Promotion Programs, and The Alfred Sasso Memorial Charitable Trust, Enchanted & Endangered received enthusiastic reviews and accolades. Dr. Stacey Fraser, Director of Opera, Cal State University of San Bernadino, had this to say about the program:

"Congrats Mojalet Dance Collective and Faith Jensen-Ismay, on Enchanted & Endangered - what a gorgeous display of theatre, dance, artistry and athleticism! You guys sure know how to tell a story! We loved it!"

After receiving great reviews and feedback suggesting that Enchanted & Endangered should be offered as standard curriculum to every school child, we hope to develop a scaled-down, portable production to present at school assemblies to help instill respect and appreciation for nature and a sense of responsibility in our youth as the future stewards of our environment.

Inspired by many stories referencing our environment (such as FernGully: The Last Rain Forest), the story of Enchanted & Endangered emphasizes preserving the environment so that the fairies can live forever, animals can flourish in their natural habitat, and future generations can enjoy the beauty and resources of the forest. The story is told through dance, the aerial arts, and dialogue referencing fairies from well‐known tales, and original characters. Dynamic, beautiful, and playful choreography reflects the energy and personalities of the animals and fairies of the forest, and the humans who visit there. The strength and beauty of the performers is engaging and inspiring to witness. This captivating and delightful production is designed for audiences of all ages and backgrounds, students and families alike.

We need YOUR HELP with FUNDING to scale the production for transport and suitability for smaller venues with the specific goal of educating our youth about the environment, and instilling in them a respect, appreciation, and sense of responsibility for our planet and the importance of living in harmony with nature.

Shouldn't every child experience a trip to the Enchanted Forest? Come back on December 1, GivingTuesday, to set up your own field trip to the Enchanted Forest. Let's make this a reality for all students in our communities.

Thank you for your consideration!
