Momentum's mission is to advance the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of children and adults with disabilities and medical conditions. Momentum's services in Long Beach and Torrance support children, adults, and their families. Through innovative programs and services, Momentum empowers individuals and communities to reach full inclusion for access to opportunities and resources.

This year, Momentum is increasing the number and ways we support children and families in Long Beach and surrounding areas by offering more home-based and parent-integrated behavioral health services and individual therapies.

The funds raised through Long Beach Gives will assist in two key areas this year:

Pediatrics:  Our goal is to expand our Early Intervention Programs for preschool-age children (ages 1.5 to 3 years). The funds will also help us purchase essential therapy tools, including AAC devices, iPads, weighted balls, therapy chews, and more.   

Adult Services: Today, we celebrate the Harbor House location in Lomita and ask you to support them in fundraising toward the cost of additional special outings for their residents by raising enough funds for tickets, entrance fees, and transportation. Our residential programming is designed to offer the highest level of personal care, support, and resources, enabling people to enjoy a fulfilled and healthy lifestyle. Additionally, Momentum has a fleet of wheelchair-accessible vehicles to ensure residents can access their community and participate in special activities.
