Since 1978, MCVP has been the Monadnock region’s only crisis center for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. We serve all of Cheshire County and western Hillsborough County, a region that includes four colleges, two hospitals, and several diverse school districts, spanning rural towns, college campuses, and everything in between.
MCVP’s direct services are life-saving and life-changing. We operate a 24/7 crisis line, provide hospital and court accompaniment, offer emotional support and safety planning, and maintain an emergency shelter for survivors in leaving violence.
So far this year, we’ve supported hundreds of survivors, including dozens of hospital visits and countless calls to our hotline. And the need is only growing. As demand increases, and as state and federal funding face major cuts, your support is more critical than ever.
MCVP is here when no one else is. Without us, this region would have no access to these essential, trauma-informed services. Your donation during NH Gives helps ensure that no survivor in our community has to face violence alone.
Generous supporters and friends of MCVP, local author Judith Sanders Malinoski and Frank Malinoski, have pledged $10,000 to kickstart our NH Gives efforts. Help us double this commitment and reach our goal of $20,000 to provide safety, dignity, and hope to those we serve.
MCVP: Crisis & Prevention Center is the crisis center for Cheshire and Western Hillsborough counties, working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, child abuse and trafficking. We envision a community where violence is not tolerated and is replaced by equality, empowerment, and emotional & physical safety. At MCVP we are actively working to respond to domestic & sexual violence, stalking, child abuse and trafficking in our community by providing a care & support system for survivors. But, we also know this type of violence can be prevented through education so that is why we are also working to end interpersonal violence in all forms through primary prevention education, community outreach & collaboration.
