The Monroe Foundation for Youth formerly known as the Monroe Foundation for Autism was founded in 2009. The mission of our organization has always been to provide free services to youth in the form of after school meetings, social skills groups, school rights advocacy assistance, and more. We changed our name in order to extend our services to include programs for at-risk youth. While we still provide free socials skills to children on the autism spectrum our attention has shifted to help a wider range of children and adolescents who struggle with the negative influence of poverty, drugs, violence, and gangs in today's society. These issues have been well documented within Bucks County and its local communities. In addition, to these groups we offer a free Basketball program called Bucks County Elite that teaches boys and girls  positivity on and off the court. The girls team has won approximately 19 tournaments since it's inception two and a half years ago. Some of our other programs include a youth CPR classes, Senior Center visits, and youth mindfulness and meditation. We are the only program like this in our area that provides these services as no cost to the families we serve. Please consider donating to our cause so that we can continue to fulfill our mission of providing services to youth, one child at at time!
