Monroe Homes

Monroe Homes, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose commitment is to rent and manage affordable housing that provides supportive services needed to strengthen and encourage our homeless or under housed Veterans. 

For veterans coming home often means learning to reconnect with family, emotions, processing,  the miracle of appreciating and yes even smiling.

We are working hard to get veterans out of the barracks style of living and introducing them back into our society.  Gainful employment is imperative.   Some of the many services we will be providing are wrap around training including individual job skills assessment, resume writing, skill matching, interviewing, drafting a budget and living by it. The ultimate goal is to have the veterans purchase their own homes with or without our help.

Monroe Homes has currently been contacted about three families, one which is a veteran who is married with four children living in a two bedroom apartment; with his fifth child living with another family member simply because there just isn’t any space. Can you imagine?!? We are in the process of finding a home that will fit this family’s needs, where they feel safe, have more space but most importantly that they can all be together again.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help us in providing the best wrap around services for not only this family but for other families we have been contacted about. Please help us in reaching this goal to help provide these services for our Veterans who have given so much. We are relying on the generosity of grateful people like you.
