Monte Vista Education Foundation

A nonprofit organization

The Monte Vista Education Foundation was established on April 24, 1995, to support the education of students in Monte Vista, Colorado. The mission of the organization is to make a difference in the lives of Monte Vista’s students by promoting the value of education and work ethic. A volunteer board provides time, energy, and expertise to accomplish the Foundation’s work. The Foundation has been able to support Monte Vista students with approximately $277,400 in scholarships from 1998 to the present.  MVEF has supported numerous student-centered projects beginning in 2001 for a total of approximately $307,000 as of May 2022. This value includes a Daniels Grant for $157,500 for a field house at the Monte Vista Community Sports Complex. The Foundation solicits endowment funds through gifts, testamentary bequests, charitable remainder trusts, Monte Vista School District employee contributions and personal donations.

The goal for the Colorado Gives campaign is to provide resources to continue to provide supplemental support to the staff and students at the Monte Vista School District for classroom projects, sports, swimming, band, music, art and STEM projects. We accept grant applications from staff throughout the year.  Your support for our Foundation will provide extra funding for school district needs.
