Counterpane Montessori School

Counterpane Montessori School is the oldest Montessori school in the south Atlanta Metro area and serves students 3 years old to college acceptance. Surrounded by farm and forest, Counterpane has reimagined school through a fully-integrated arts program and by encouraging children and young adults to be curious, independent, and uniquely themselves.

Founded in 1974, we are “Accredited with Quality” by the Georgia Accrediting Commission and strictly college preparatory, with 100% of our graduates being accepted by 4-year colleges and universities.

Counterpane’s campus is on 14 wooded acres with farm animals, a wilderness program based in our outdoor classroom, and a profusion of wildflowers and wildlife.
