Montessori de Santa Cruz Public Charter School (MdSC) serves Kindergarten – 6th grade in the rural areas of Tubac, Sahuarita, Green Valley, Arivaca, Amado, Carmen, Tumacacori, Rio Rico, and Nogales, Arizona. We celebrated 15 years of success with our charter renewal in 2014, and our 16th year will be the best yet.  

Our motto at MdSC is “Everything with Joy!” We witness the wonder and joy of a Montessori education in the happiness of our students eagerly participating in hands-on, minds-on learning with time to play, think, reflect, plan, and create the person he or she is to become. We take your child’s future seriously, and love the fact that parents and teachers work so well together.

Of the students enrolled at MdSC, the demographic of the school is such that 30% of the student are from families earning below the federal poverty level, 22% are English Language Learners, and 24% are students with learning exceptionalities requiring special needs services. Funding for the most at-risk student population due to poverty, minority, and disability relies on continuous community support to provide a robust Montessori program to those who need it the most.
