On any given night in our area, 662 people are homeless.

• 146 are unsheltered
• 84 are chronically homeless
• 126 are chronic substance abusers
• 121 are in families with dependent children
• 7 are persons with HIV/AIDS
• 150 have severe mental illness
• 59 are veterans
• 78 are victims of domestic violence

 

The Mid-Alabama Coalition for the Homeless seeks to assist the homeless and homeless shelters and service providers through raising awareness, hosting outreach events, and securing the maximum funding available to assist in the fight to end homelessness.
