Because of YOU Montgomery Community Media is able to continue to foster partnerships with nearly 400 non-profits throughout Montgomery County. 

We are able to encourage county-wide employment through our strategic efforts such as those we have with Montgomery Works, Abt Associates and Holy Cross Hospital.  We are able to both engage community support and stimulate the local economy. 

Most of all, we are able to provide educational programs for our young residents through programs such as our "Backpack Journalism" academy. 

Because of you, we are able to contribute to improving the quality of life in Montgomery County's neighborhoods for our nearly 1 million residents. 

Your support allows us the opportunity to:

Provide over 17,500 program hours each year;

Train over 1,700 participants annually;

Attain over 13,000 hours of service from volunteers each year;

Provide adult career and job retraining as well as lifelong learning opportunities for seniors;

Create excitement and buzz about living in Montgomery County through our weekly "Do and Go" Public Service Announcement's created in partnership with the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County;
 

And, feature Montgomery County's vibrant diversity through our features and broadcasts of Latino Heritage Month, the Montgomery County Fair, several music festivals, Black History Month, Asian Heritage Month and so very much more!

Your support makes a real difference!  The community engagement at MCM continues to increase at an impressive rate.  During FY11's 4th quarter alone: there were approximately 30 new projects started by volunteers, presenters and the production classes; applications and schedules were implemented for over 120 approved series programs from Montgomery County residents and organizations; and MCM's technical services had over 5,000 hours of field camera usage, and more than 1,900 hours of editing suite usage!
