Morgan Center

Morgan Autism Center's mission is to help children and adults with autism or other developmental disabilities maximize their potential in a dignified, positive and loving environment. Since its inception in 1969, Morgan Autism Center, a small non-profit in San Jose, has provided a highly structured, positive educational program for its students and adult clients. Recognizing that every individual with autism learns differently, Morgan Autism Center’s School and Adult Programs provide individualized services tailored to the needs of each individual using a 1:1 staff to student ratio in the School Program and a 1:3 staff to client ratio in the Adult Program. Students and clients thrive at Morgan Autism Center because of the love and care that are given to them by our dedicated staff and our specialized program.

Community partnership is integral to the success of our program. Hosting an annual autism conference, workshops, and trainings for educators, law enforcement and emergency personnel, Morgan Autism Center’s outreach expands beyond the individuals we serve at our San Jose campus. The community recognizes that Morgan Autism Center provides a holistic, well-rounded program to our students and clients and every component of it, including academic instruction, physical education, social skills training, and enrichment activities are necessary for the success of our students, clients and program.

Morgan Autism Center was presented the 2014 “Program of the Year” award by the California Speech Language and Hearing Association. This award honors a single speech-language pathology or audiology program that is exemplary in its service to clients and families and to the field of communicative disorders.

Because of the generosity of our donors, we are able to provide enrichment services such as art and music therapy, purchase communication devices, take our students and adult clients on exciting community outings, and provide them with a loving, thriving environment.
