Mother of Providence Regional Catholic School is the product of the merging of St. John Chrysostom and Nativity B.V.M. parish schools. They combined their over 150 years of history to create a new community based on the teachings of the Gospel and the importance of nurturing the whole child in mind, body, and spirit. The two tight knit communities worked together to create a regionalized, Pre-kindergarten  to 8th grade elementary school, supported by the partnerships of the parishes and families.

Mother of Providence provides faith based, rigorous instruction enriched with special subjects such as Art, Music, Technology and Spanish. The incorporation of STREAM into the curriculum challenges students while making real world connections. Our innovative technology program provides students with 1:1 Chromebooks in grades 1 through 8, tablets in Pre-k and kindergarten, and allows access to 3D printers and SmartBoards. Through a variety of online platforms, learning is differentiated to meet each student's needs while providing opportunities for collaboration and investigation. Speech and Debate, Drama Club, and Science Explorers are valuable additions to the extra-curricular options available to students.

In 2019, Mother of Providence was recognized as an Archdiocese of Philadelphia School of Distinguished Instruction. Standardized test scores have shown consistent growth in all grades and students are annually recognized as top performers in the First in Math program. In keeping with our Catholic identity, students impact the local community through outreach and service initiatives. Most importantly, students continue to further their beliefs rooted in the Gospel.

In 2020, Mother of Providence was recognized by the United States Department of Education as an "Exemplary High Performing School" and was awarded the National Blue Ribbon. Our school was one of only 50 non-public schools nationwide and only one of 14 schools in Pennsylvania to receive this honor in the 2020 cohort.
