Mount Washington Valley Skating Club

Skating is a skill that lasts a lifetime. It’s part art and part sport.  At the Mt. Washington Valley Skating Club, we offer instruction and competition for all ages. Your gift of any size will keep skating affordable in the Mt. Washington Valley. 

Our goal is to reach $2500 in contributions through NH Gives.  Our club reaches many people throughout the Mt Washington Valley, with folks from 5 years old up to senior citizens learning how to float over the ice.  Without generous donations, our club will become unaffordable for many current skaters.  

The Club bolsters the health and welfare of our children, enabling them as artists, athletes, future coaches, and community leaders. Our annual Holiday on Ice Show encourages our skaters to improve, compete, and take pride in their skating skills in front of family and friends. 

Last year, donations such as yours made the following possible:

(1) We were able to defray the skating enrollment costs of more than one dozen children based on their family income.

(2) We were able to reduce the enrollment costs in our Learn to Skate Program, which serves as an introduction for anyone in the Mt. Washington Valley to many types of skating -- figure skating, recreational skating, and hockey skating.

(3) We were able to re-introduce the Bring-A-Friend Program, which allowed our skaters to invite friends of any age to further expand our Club's reach and mission.  Skaters were invited to bring someone who might not otherwise learn to skate.  This helps us grow the sport.

Finally, since our Club is based at the Ham Arena, your contribution not only directly impacts our skaters but also supports our Arena, which makes all sorts of activities possible in our community, such as Public Skating, Youth Hockey, and Adult Hockey.

Skating is a skill that lasts a lifetime. It’s part art, part sport. Your gift of any size will help defray the cost of ice which helps keep our youth programs affordable and accessible in the Mt. Washington Valley and beyond.

By supporting us, you also contribute to the health and welfare of our children, enabling them to be both artists and athletes, inspiring them to become coaches and leaders, to advance, compete and exhibit their skating skills before friends, family, competitors and the community in shows such as Conway’s Holiday on Ice.

As we buy our ice from the Ham Arena, your contribution also supports our non-profit venue, a huge asset in our community that additionally provides other skating opportunities such as Public Skating and Youth and Adult Hockey.
