Without MOUSE Squad, I don’t think I would’ve ever been into technology, and technology has changed my life.” Karla Moreno, Turlock High School, Central Valley

By 2018, California will have a total of 1.1 million STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) jobs, representing 6% of all jobs in the state, with 49% percent of those jobs in computer occupations, including technicians, programmers, and scientists. With women making up 50% and Hispanic/ Latinos 38% of California’s population, it is imperative these groups are given equal access to tech jobs.

MOUSE Squad is driving change with innovative technology education that is designed to meet the needs of under-represented youth.

  • 60% of students are low-income.
  • 60% are youth of color.
  • 40% of MSCA students are girls.

Help us change the face of technology by supporting MSCA during Silicon Valley Gives.

MOUSE Squad engages students in technology education by training them to be the technology experts for their communities. Our program provides young people with hands-on learning experiences that are not available to most students during the school day, while also training them to be leaders in their schools and neighborhoods.

"MOUSE Squad has accelerated my knowledge in technology and I've become a team player. I am helping other students and teachers with their technical problems and have made a lot of new friends.  Before MOUSE Squad, students treated me as if I didn't know anything. Now they come to me for help!" Javier Rodriguez, Crozier Middle School, Los Angeles
