Mow Down Als Llc

Mow Down ALS was founded by Dave Scharold in 2017.  Dave started lawn mower racing in 2013 and he is also a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) that works in home health care with a large number of ALS patients.  In 2017, one of Dave's ALS patient's Chris Kemp (Team Krazy Chris) suggested that Dave hold a race for ALS fundraising - and Mow Down ALS was born, holding annual races ever since.

The Mow Down ALS Board was created in 2021 with the organization achieving nonprofit 501(c)(3) status in 2022.

Mow Down ALS raises funds to help support other nonprofit organizations that support ALS research and education and for equipment needs for ALS patients.  Our ultimate goal is to reach a point where we can begin to supply equipment needs and caregiver support directly to the patients and caregivers that need it.
