MISSION: Our mission is three-fold: 1. to provide care for homeless companion animals; 2. to promote spaying/neutering, microchipping and education about animal welfare; and 3. to place homeless cats and dogs in loving, permanent homes. Shelter Partnering Program - Prevents euthanasia of adoptable pets in overcrowded shelters Kennel Enrichment - Stimulates cats and dogs mentally, physically and emotionally to avoid burnout Special Companions Program - Assists adopters looking for a specific type/breed of pet. Home-to-Home Adoptions - Helps people re-home a pet while limiting the pet's stress Adoption/Surrender Counseling - Helps people choose the right pet for their lifestyle and family or find a better home for the pet they currently care for. Meet Your Match - Personality assessed dogs are successfully matched with potential adopters reducing the number of returned adoptions and clarifying adopter expectations Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) - Promotes a humane solution to communities and local government; coordinates and organizes mass trapping efforts to eventually reduce the number of feral cats; educates the community about responsible cat ownership and caring for a colony Community Outreach Program - Educates and offers services to the surrounding community on matters affecting animal welfare and the relationships people have with their pets Project S.A.S.H.A. - Provides Safe And Sound Housing for Animals for 90 days while pet owners recovers from crisis situation; Partner primarily with homeless and battered women's shelters to provide temporary free boarding for pets
