Museum of Northern Arizona Inc

The Museum of Northern Arizona is one of the great regional museums of our world, surrounded by tremendous geological, biological and cultural resources in one of Earth's most spectacular landscapes. For more than eighty-five years, MNA has been a vital part of northern Arizona and the Colorado Plateau, including the Grand Canyon and Four Corners Region. Since its founding, the Museum has evolved into a regional center of learning with collections, exhibits, educational programs, publications, and active scientific research projects.

MNA’s research programs in Art, Anthropology, Archaeology, Biology, Ecology, Geology and Paleontology have contributed significantly to the scholarly understanding of the cultural history and science of the Colorado Plateau.

Our Discovery Program provides enriching educational classes for children, ages 4 to 18, that use art and science to introduce students to new disciplines, diverse worldviews, and encourages interest and exploration of their outdoor surroundings. Discovery also offers a program specifically tailored to Navajo students presented in their native language, scholarships for lower income families, and extended-care for working parent households.

MNA’s Heritage Festivals of art and culture are a long running tradition, dating back to the beginning days of the institution. The festivals showcase a balance of ancient and modern cultural presentations, performances, and activities that provide visitors a deeper insight into the Hopi, Navajo, Zuni, and Hispanic cultures.
