The Museum of World Treasures is a non-profit educational museum in Old Town, Wichita, KS. Located in an Old Town historic building, its collection is filled with artifacts from all times of history and places of the world. The Museum offers monthly educational programs for guests of every age and provides school tours for over 8,000 school children annually.
The Museum of World Treasures was founded by Dr. Jon and Lorna Kardatzke and opened its doors for the first time on April 22, 2001 at the Garvey Center in downtown Wichita. About two years later, due to tremendous growth, the Museum relocated to what is affectionately known as the Farm & Art Market.
The Museum is currently fundraising to remodel the Children’s Activity Center and curatorial space on the third floor. The curatorial project is very important to create a larger storage space with controlled elements for Museum artifacts.
The Museum of World Treasures is a not-profit 501(c)(3) Kansas corporation. Tax-deductible donations directly support the Museum's many educational programs.
