Friends and Families of Prison Inmates  (FAFPI),* the first peer-to-peer support group , is designed to help the families and friends deal with the shame, fear and challenges  involved with having a loved one incarcerated.  FAFPI meets at 7 pm Tuesdays.  Elaine Voigt facilitates.

Transitional Reintegration Program (TRIP)* is a peer-to-peer support group, designed to help persons leaving the prison culture find support, advice and insight from others who have successfully reintegrated into the community.

The group also offers an alternative community which has healthy family social events, free from drugs and alcohol.  The support of this group has proven effective in significantly reducing recidivism in those individuals who remain in the group.  TRIP meets at 7 pm Tuesday nights. 

 Children of Prison Inmates (COPI)*is a group which developed to give support and community, as well as counseling services, to children who have parents in prison. An estimated 70% of children, who have a parent in prison, will end up in prison themselves without intervention. COPI works with Big Brothers/Big Sisters to pair children with mentors and helps staff an annual summer camp for children of prisoners offered by the Episcopal Diocese. It also operates an annual writing contest for children who have a parent incarcerated.

 The Forum is a community service allowing former inmates and their families the opportunity to share with at-risk youth the impact their criminal activities had on their lives and the lives of their families.

The purpose is to make the teens aware that the choices they are making will follow them throughout their lives and to encourage them to make good changes regarding behavior, education and friends.

Resource Center

This program begins pre-release and completes post release.  Teaching core and advanced computer skills.  The core classes instruction in basic computer skills, resume writing, interviewing skills, and touches on Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.  Post release continues to the advanced classes and includes internet navigation, online job applications, GED Tutoring,  and online job searches.
