My Learning Studio Outreach

We started off in July 2006 as a for-profit Arts, Crafts and Science Studio which quickly morphed into an awarding winning tutoring center.  

As the economy started it's downturn, we noticed our customers were struggling to makes ends meet, let along have extra money for tutoring.  This was when we created My Learning Studio Outreach.  Not only for low-income, but also currently economically financially challenged.  As long as you were down in pay at least 20%, you were able to qualify for discount tutoring. The same quality, just at a discount.  

We moved into a new location this past Summer and were able to afford most everything except for private tutoring cubicles. Having private tutoring cubicles is very important to the success of our tutoring sessions with our students.  Privacy, with no distractions is the key to effective learning.

November 2013, we extended our services to include foster & adoptive children, giving drastically reduced pricing for private one-on-one tutoring. 

In addition, we would like to expand our FREE parent academies, algebra assistance, SAT and college preparation classes.  Going out into the community is one of our goals, reaching more students and helping them succeed in school, which helps their home life. 

We've had a young boy tutor a few years ago and I just bumped into him and he was so excited to tell me he now has straight "A's".  It was truly incredible because he was two grades behind when he started with us.  He has been able to continue to practice what he learned throughout his young life, he's in 6th grade now.

Another young man that tutors with us during the school year always wanted to go to LEGO Camp, but he couldn't afford it, My Learning Studio OUTREACH was able to send him to a week-long camp.
