Myocarditis Foundation

Every year, families learn what myocarditis is in an all too tragic way: sudden death.  Myocarditis infects young, healthy people, often with mild or no symptoms.  Myocarditis is a poorly understood, often undiagnosed illness which can rapidly progress to heart failure and eath.  Myocarditis is the thrid leading cause of sudden cardiac-related death in young people, and it is our goal to save more lives against this disease.  The Myocarditis Foundation's primary mission is to provide relevant, accurate, and up-to-date information about the  nature of myocarditis and its various presentations, to medical professionals and to the public at large, in the effort to save more lives.
