The families and members of NAMI Tyler are here to help! We offer understanding to anyone concerned about mental illnesses and the treatment of mental illness. Mental illnesses are brain disorders that are biologically based medical problems. They are not caused by bad parenting and not evidence of weakness of character. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental illness and their families through support, education, and advocacy.

NAMI Tyler, an affiliate of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), is dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by mental illness in East Texas. We collaborate with faith groups, law enforcement, veterans, schools, and more to educate, support, and advocate for mental health.

Our goals:
• Educate the community about mental illness.
• Eliminate stigma.
• Advocate for increased research and treatment funding.

We offer free support groups and educational classes led by trained volunteers. Your donation helps us expand these programs, provide materials, and reach more families. With your support, we can train facilitators, bring mental health education to schools, and strengthen outreach efforts.
