NAMI Southeast Louisiana's mission is to provide education, advocacy, support and resources to individuals living with a mental illness and their loved ones. Utilizing trained volunteers with lived experience, NAMI SELA programs helps to minimize feelings of isolation, improves adherence to behavioral health treatment, and enhances overall quality of life. With the right supports and services, individuals living with a mental illness can recover and led healthy lives.

NAMI Southeast Louisiana offers free support, resources, and guidance to individuals living with a mental illness and their family members. Last year over 53,000 community members benefited from NAMI SELA's programs to help them on their behavioral health journey. Through free support groups, education programs, day center activities, trainings, outreach and awareness, NAMI Southeast Louisiana saves lives, families, and relationships.
