Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of underserved communities in and around the New Orleans East area by providing accessible, affordable, high quality, culturally competent community based primary, preventive, rehabilitative, and behavioral health care. In collaboration with private and public health partners, our vision is to improve the health and wellness of the communities in and around the New Orleans East area by working to create a seamless system of access to compassionate, culturally sensitive, primary and preventive health care resulting in a healthier population and improved quality of life.

NOELA Community Health Center (NOELA CHC) is a Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a low-income, racially diverse population in New Orleans East. Serving marginalized communities, we address critical health disparities, by focusing on preventative medicine.

Through our second site, the innovative Wellness Center, we offer evidence-based programs such as cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, physical therapy, supervised exercise therapy, and medical weight loss. These services empower patients to adopt healthy behaviors, manage chronic conditions, and improve their quality of life. Our integrated care model also includes behavioral health services, ensuring holistic care for both physical and mental health needs.

Each year, NOELA serves over 4300 patients, many of whom are uninsured or underinsured. By offering sliding fee scales, health education, and outreach programs, we reduce barriers to care and empower individuals to lead healthier lives. Our efforts have led to measurable improvements, including reduced hospitalizations, better chronic disease management, and increased access to preventive services.
