This organization was established with a vision. NACA’s vision is engrained in the idea that individuals are the key to change. We provide services that engage the community by fostering wellness, prevention, and healthy lifestyles. It is our desire that individuals in Flagstaff and surrounding communities will embrace wellness, respect and self-sufficiency. These desires are echoed in the hopes that they will contribute to a thriving community where indigenous values and cultural traditions are celebrated. In a word, we believe in empowerment.

NACA provides an array of services with the belief that balance and harmony are central to the goals of wellness and healing. With over 8 programs, we aim to serve the community in all aspects of life. This includes our Behavioral Health department which offers an array of classes and programs designed to cater to most age groups; Substance Abuse classes, Talking Circle, Suicide Prevention Program, the Pursuit of Change Program, and the Pathways Youth Program. Our Training and Development department offers training resources, sustainability programs and also emergency supportive services; The Oak Creek Vista Overlook Program, Workforce Investment Act, NACA Supportive Services, and the Navajo Way Program.  Our Family Health Center accepts all patients with a special focus on whole-family health care. We enjoy seeing all ages of patients, from infants to the elderly. Lastly, the Wellness Center and Health Promotion Program provides lifestyle and physical fitness education designed to treat and/or prevent Diabetes and other Chronic Disease. Each program is carefully designed to help individuals reach their personal health goals; Diabetes Management Program, Diabetes Prevention Program, Chronic Disease Self-Management Program, Tobacco Education Program, and the Wellness Center.

We provide all of these wonderful programs at little to no cost. Our vision and mission is dedicated to serve the Flagstaff and surroundings communities, but we need your help. Your donation will bring us closer to realizing our vision for Flagstaff and the surroundings areas. Our organization is excited and eager to see this vision flourish. You can be a part of that excitement. Please join us in our mission to empower and advocate for Native people and others in need to create a healthy community based on Harmony, Respect and Indigenous values.

I would like to thank you for considering this opportunity to partner with our organization, our mission and our vision. If you have any queries regarding our organization, our financial management policies, or the any of our programs, please feel free to contact Linda Cowan at the address or phone number given above or at lcowan@nacainc.org.
