About Nala & Friends Dog Rescue

Nala & Friends Dog Rescue was founded on love and compassion for all animals. While our primary focus is dogs, we also help cats in need regardless of age, breed, color, or ability. The animals we save come from San Antonio, Texas, and surrounding areas. Some are rescued from the streets or pulled from high-kill shelters, while others are surrendered by owners or even born in our care after rescuing their mother.

We welcome all dogs into our rescue. We love our puppies, but also seniors, those with disabilities, and those often overlooked due to their size, breed, or even coat color. Many of the medical cases we take on place a financial strain on our rescue, but they are a driving reason behind our fundraising goals. For example, puppy Belle, born with hydrocephalus and needs a life-changing shunt surgery. Cases like hers and many others is why ongoing support is so critical.
