Namaste Direct alleviates poverty in Guatemala one woman at a time. We combine essential business training, 1:1 business mentorship and access to micro-loans to help women double their profits and enter the formal business sector. We have helped 2,000+ Guatemalan women over the past decade.

Sindy Aracely is one of our entrepreneurs. Sindy is a 33 year old single mother of two children. She has a 6th grad education. She used to run a small corner store, but could not make ends meet so she cleaned houses for extra money. After sindy started the Namaste program, her confidence grew and she decided to dedicate herself full time to her small business. Before Namaste, she earned $195 per month. After three loan cycles and months of training and mentorship, Sindy now EARNS TEN TIMES MORE, or $1,032 per month. She uses this extra money to provide a better education for her children.

Since 2004, Namaste has provided more than 3,000 loans to low-income wommen entrepreneurs in Guatemala for a cumulative total of $3.8M in incremental profits.

On average, our women entrepreneurs enoy a 30% increase in income for each 9-month loan cycle.
