Founded in 2002, the Namolokama OʻHanalei Canoe Club is known for our competitive spirit, community support, and fun environment.

We’re an integral part of the Hawaiian canoeing community. Ranging in age from teens to 80+ years old, our members proudly represent Kauai in events worldwide including those that have taken place in the state of Hawaii, New York City, the World Sprints in Tahiti & Hilo, World Distance Championships in Australia, and the World Masters Event in New Zealand.

Donate to the Namolokama Canoe Club to show your support for preserving the Hawaiian traditions of outrigger canoe paddling and fortifying the spirit of community competitions and good sportsmanship.

Namolokama OʻHanalei Canoe Club hosts the annual Hanalei Bay Swim Challenge which brings the community together for a day of fun and fitness. This year was the 15th year! The Swim Challenge  consists of five fun and competitive races for all ages: 8 & under,  9 – 12, 1000 meters, 3000 meters, and 1000-meter mask & fin. Click here for a fun video of the 8 & under swim start.

Our club is named for the Namolokama Mountain, which rises over 4,400 feet, with lush green vegetation and waterfalls overlooking our beautiful Hanalei Bay. Namolokama OʻHanalei Canoe Club is a member of the Kauai Outrigger Association (KOA) and the Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association (HCRA).

Mahalo for your support!
