Some people never get to meet their hero, I gave birth to mine.  Our journey began on January 10, 2004...Nathan was born 15 weeks premature - 24 weeks gestation - weighing 1.9 lbs. and 12 inches long.  The NICU at Community Hospital, located in Munster, Indiana, would be his home for 108 days.  During our long 3 month journey, we depended on each other to help us thru the challenges of his survival.  Each day was a blessing watching our little miracle become stronger with each passing day.  Giving us the strength and hope that he would be coming home soon.  We could have not asked for a better support system from the dedicated doctors, nurses and specialists that watched over him 24/7.
