Spelman College, a historically Black college and global leader in the education of women of African descent, is dedicated to academic excellence in the liberal arts and sciences and the intellectual, creative, ethical, and leadership development of its students. Spelman empowers the whole person to engage the many cultures of the world and inspires a commitment to positive social change.

This year, the Cleveland Chapter of the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (NAASC) is hosting its annual scholarship fundraiser FOREVER BLUE via Razoo. This fundraiser supports scholarships for current Spelman students from the greater Cleveland, OH area and we would love it if you would participate!

Please view the photos and watch the video of some of our recent Alumnae as they share their inspiring stories about how this scholarship has helped them in Choosing to Change the World! We have an ambitious goal to raise $10,000. Thank you in advance for supporting Spelman students from the greater Cleveland area!

In their own words...testimonials from NAASC Cleveland chapter scholarship recipients:

"The scholarship provided me with monetary assistance and hope to follow my dream to study abroad and graduate!" Taylor Bernard, c/o 2011, Fulbright Program Grant recipient

"The scholarship assisted me with books, course materials and other finanical needs this past fall semester. I had a rigorous courseload so this financial assistance allowed me to focus on my courses and not think about any economic burdens. The scholarship was greatly appreciated as it helped me maintain focus on my future goals in a prosperous career in investment banking." Breunna Gibbs, c/o 2017

"I am a current sophomore at Spelman College. I am an International Studies major with a double minor in Public Health and Spanish. The NAASC Cleveland Chapter awarded me with a $300 scholarship. With this scholarship, I was able to fund my application processes for study abroad for the upcoming fall semester. Specifically, I was able to begin the process of renewing my passport and paying the application fee for my study abroad program in Chile. My future plans include completing my degree program in International Studies and matriculating into a Masters of Public Health program upon graduation in 2017."  Kailyn Brooks, c/o 2017
