National Balloon Classic

The National Balloon Classic, a 501(c)(3) organization, is the second largest hot air balloon festival in the nation and hosts up to 70,000-90,000 guests of all ages and demographics. In addition, up to 100 pilots from around the world participate in the event and bring with them, family, friends, and crew. The National Balloon Classic is a significant contributor to Iowa tourism, and the area economy, by attracting thousands of visitors who also shop, dine, sleep, and patronize area businesses, parks, and facilities.
