The impact of executive orders that have been issued since January 2017 is that many immigrants are feeling anxious and frightened to leave their homes, go to work and have their children attend school.  Many of these immigrants are also the victims of divisive and hateful rhetoric that has been directed at them in the months since the presidential election.

As changes in U.S. immigration policy continue to unfold, immigrants are confused and fearful about the impact that travel bans, the potential end to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, restrictions on refugee resettlement, raids, and expanded and expedited deportations will have on them and their families.

In an environment characterized by uncertainty and divisiveness, National Justice for Our Neighbors (NJFON) is committed to ensuring that as many immigrants as possible receive high-quality immigration legal services so they can work here lawfully, be able to live here together as a family, and remain safely and permanently in the U.S.

In 2016, the Justice for Our Neighbors network of legal clinics served a record 4,286 immigrants representing a 20% increase in clients served.  With your support we can continue to help transform the lives of our immigrant neighbors in need of expert legal advice and high-quality, affordable legal representation.
