• Navigating Recovery of the Lakes Region is a grassroots collaborative organization creating a supportive and recovery-informed community for those affected by Substance Use Disorder, their family, friends, and coworkers. Our recovery center is focused on providing an open door for people seeking and/or embracing recovery as they begin and maintain a path for a productive life free from the harmful impacts of alcohol or other drugs. We are here to help anyone who is affected by or afflicted with substance use disorder, FREE of charge! We achieve this by providing peer-run services that help people become and stay engaged in the recovery process, thereby reducing the likelihood of recurrence or relapse. Our services are designed & delivered by peers who have been successful in the recovery process. And our goal is to embody a powerful message of hope and a wealth of experiential knowledge.

Who We Are

Navigating Recovery of the Lakes Region(NRLR) began as a grassroots collaborative organization to create a supportive, recovery informed community for those affected by substance use disorder, as well as their family, friends, and coworkers. In just one year’s time, we went from being a concept to opening our doors in December 2016 in a soothing loft-like space in downtown Laconia, NH.
We advocate for those affected by addiction, help people navigate around barriers to recovery, facilitate access to recovery resources, support the community of recovery, provide peer-to-peer recovery support services, participate in the discourse to combat stigma & discrimination, and educate the community. We believe all people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. We strive to end discrimination against people in recovery, and those still suffering from the disease of addiction.
Our recovery community center is:
A location for the recovery community to organize and support one another.
A resource center for individuals and family members to receive recovery support as they navigate their journey to a life of sobriety.
A center that recognizes, values, and supports multiple / various pathways to recovery.
A safe place where recovery community social events and meetings can be held.
A place where peer-to-peer recovery support services will be a priority.
A place where assistance in removing barriers to recovery can be achieved.
