NAZCARE, Inc

A nonprofit organization

Our mission is to provide quality wellness services to individuals and families with mental, co-occurring and substance use disorders in order to promote recovery and wellness.

NAZCARE uses an evidence-based peer support model to support peers. But, what is peer support? Peer Supports are people that have common life experiences to those they serve, be it mental illness, substance use issues, both, or are family of those with such issues. They have an understanding of these issues that most may not have because of their lived experience. This offers our peers someone with an understanding of their experience that others who serve them may not have.

But, our we don't stop at our day services. NAZCARE offers a Warm Line, housing, and Peer Support training. NAZCARE's Warm Line is free to Arizona residents and is open every evening, every day of the year. Through the Warm Line, people can receive Peer Support Services over the phone and support in finding resources to get additional help. Housing and employment for those with mental illness can be a struggle. So, NAZCARE has found a way to begin filling that gap with independent, group-style housing in Prescott and Cottonwood. We also offer Peer Support Training. This training gives peers the skills necessary to become a peer support. Many have found it has given them the skills and confidence necessary to begin volunteering and finding meaningful employment in other areas.
