Become a Part of Putting the Sun to Work for NCEFT: Help Us Raise $40,000 to Go Solar

At the National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy (NCEFT), we count on the energy of horses and people to provide our patients hope and healing. This year, thanks to the generosity of several corporate donors, we have a remarkable opportunity to rely on another form of energy, the sun. By converting to solar energy we support our environment, permanently reduce our overhead costs and directly impact our programs.

Several solar and electrical companies have partnered together, providing all the panels, wire, conduit and electrical upgrades necessary to install a full solar array on the roof of our covered arena (an $85,000+ donation). NCEFT's challenge is to raise the funds necessary for the installation costs, or approximately $40,000. 

Thanks to several early donors, we are well on the way to our goal. Today we're asking for your help to raise the additional funds we need to make this project possible. Please help put us over the top!

NCEFT currently spends nearly $20,000/year on electrical power. By converting to solar and zeroing out this monthly bill we can channel these funds directly into our patient programs, including financial assistance, our Veterans sessions, and special education school and summer camp programs. 

For 45 years, NCEFT’s programs have improved the lives of those living with cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, stroke, genetic disorders and learning delays. Our medically prescribed hippotherapy (physical, speech, and occupational therapy conducted on horses), adaptive riding instruction, and special no-cost programs for military Veterans and special education school classes measurably rehabilitate our patients' quality of life.
