Nebraska Chamber Players

We believe chamber music performances can be entertaining, informal and educational for audiences and performers alike. Our concerts blend a wide range of musical styles from all periods of classical music to innovative contemporary works to jazz...something for everyone!

Our concerts are family-friendly events, welcoming music lovers of all ages. Each one is preceded by a 30-minute social period with gourmet hors d’oeuvres and a variety of beverages. The musicians mingle and talk with audience members during the breaks and after the concert. We want everyone to feel at ease when we perform!

The ensemble may be best known for creative programming and excellent artistry, but we are also strongly committed to education and outreach. "Red dot cards" allow students to attend any concert and bring a friend for only $5. Music in Your Space™ takes us into elementary school classrooms, helping students learn how to make decisions as a leaderless team. "Musically Speaking," a cooperative venture with OLLI and NET Radio, is a series of entertaining talks about various aspects of chamber music (free, open to the public, streamed live online and recorded for later podcast).

Formerly known as Third Chair Chamber Players, Nebraska Chamber Players lives up to its new name through outreach programs across the state of Nebraska. Our summer concert series, "Concerts on the Creek," takes us out west to Cambridge. For the last several years we have performed at the University of Nebraska Kearney's annual New Music Symposium. Other engagements have taken us to Norfolk, Red Cloud and Omaha, and plans are in the works to branch out even further.
