Today’s young people are put at risk by their extremely limited understanding of the importance of saving.  By teaching students the importance of saving through the In-School Savings Program, we can change the financial futures of hundreds of children.

The In-School Savings Program provides students a real-life introduction to saving, banking and financial management.  Students make weekly savings deposits at their student branch of a partner financial institution located in their school.  This begins to establish the development of their savings habit.

Students’ efforts and money saving habits are rewarded when they receive their savings balance upon graduation from their school. Throughout the learning process students earn incentives as they reach increasing saving levels.

The mission of our cause is to support our Lincoln Center for Economic Education (one of five centers across the state) in the effort to expland the In-School Savings Program to additional elementary schools in Lincoln.  We currently opperate 7 branches at Elliot, Hartley, Huntington, Cavett, Belmont, Lakeview and Clinton Elementary schools.
