Nebraska Housing Developers Association

The Nebraska Housing Developers Association incorporated in April 1996 and is a statewide organization that works to make affordable housing available by providing services to our members to increase their housing production; leading collaborative initiatives such as homebuyer education, tenant education, and homeowner assistance programs; and creating an awareness about the needs for affordable housing and influencing policy to ensure resources are available and managed efficiently and effectively.

Assistance Provided in Lincoln:

$47,000 to asssit 13 Lincoln households to become homeowners through a grant we administer from the FHLBank of Topeka. 

$55,245 to assist 3 homeowners to make accessibility modifications and improve the condition of their home.

$250,000 to assist 10 homebuyers having a disability to own a home of their own.

$14,135.43 provided to non-profits in Lincoln to support their deliver of quality, homebuyer education.

The Nebraska Housing Developers Association's office and staff are located in Lincoln and have been since 1997. 

The Nebraska Housing Developers Association works to preserve and grow resources available through the Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund.  More than $10M in grant awards to the City of Lincoln, and Lincoln non-profits have been awarded through the Trust Fund with an economic impact of more than $150M. 

We believe safe, decent, and affordable housing is a basic human need.  Affordable is defined by a household with low-to-moderate income not paying more than 30% of their gross monthly income on housing costs e.g., principle, interest, taxes, insurance.
