Nebraska Mediation Association

In 2009 a group of Nebraska mediators gathered to talk about what could be accomplished if there was an association for mediators within the state. That vision came to fruition in 2010 in the form of the Nebraska Mediation Association. Since that time, NMA continues to provide training for those interested in becoming mediators, supports mediators through networking and continuing education opportunities, and promotes effective conflict engagement. 

As the organization grows, our vision is expanding. Specifically, NMA's goal is to develop a scholarship fund for mediation training that will expand the mediator pool to be reflective of Nebraska's demographics. Additionally, the Association is looking to expand the training opportunities provided that will allow people to learn the skills needed for improved interactions.

Conflict will always be a part of our lives. The key is to address conflict in a way that promotes effective engagement through productive interactions. Your support will assist NMA in teaching these skills, and marketing the benefits of using a third party neutral when support is needed to work through a conflict.
