The Nebraska Sportsmen’s Foundation works on behalf of current & future generations to protect & guarantee the right to pursue time honored traditions of fishing, trapping, hunting, and other outdoor activities, for every Nebraskan in eternity through Legislative action, public awareness and education.

FOUR YEAR TOTALS: 218 DAYS SPENT AT THE CAPITAL OUT OF 297 WITH 34 SUCCESSFUL EFFORTS OUT OF 90 LEGISLATIVE BILLS INTRODUCED. THE NSF EFFORTS EXTEND BEYOND THE OFFICIAL SESSIONS. WE WORK THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER MONTHS VISITING WITH SENATORS IN THEIR HOME DISTRICTS.

* July 2013 the NSF was appointed by Governor Heinemann to LB517, the 34 person Water Funding Task Force. We presented three recommendations that are now in the process of becoming law and a record $31.5 million in Water funding legislation. 

* At the conclusion of the 2014 legislative session, we will have 17 Senators leave due to term limits. This will have a large impact on the style and relationships of the Senators. The NSF presence will be crucial to improving our efforts.
