Every school year, the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) Bay Area provides entrepreneurship education to more than 1,000 San Francisco Bay Area students from low-income communities. There are always those natural entrepreneurs in each class that want to do more than learn about business, these students want to start their own businesses. To create that opportunity, we started NFTE Launch. Last summer, we provided NFTE Launch to 41 students. This year we want to be able to offer NFTE Launch to 60 aspiring student entrepreneurs.
NFTE Launch allows our students to take the skills they have learned and directly apply them to a business they are passionate about. More importantly, NFTE Launch engages students in a way that traditional classrooms do not.
